Could my “BATMAN Fan Film” blog become just a Film blog?

Doesn’t do fan films, at least not this year.  They were very nice and looked into it for me still and replied to my emails right away.

They replied with the following:

“We have not in the past but let me look into that.”

But then, alas, I received this:

“It’s not looking good. There is always a chance something will change but at this time I don’t think we can do that.  Thanks for asking and if an option comes up I will let you know.”

There maybe another 2 Film Festivals I could feature it at, but haven’t gotten a reply yet on either.

doesn’t seem to hopeful for a superhero fan film.

“The theme of the con is zombie apocalypse. If you have any zombie films, or know of anyone who does, let me know.”

oh well.

maybe, just discovered it only minutes ago. I sent an email to see if I could enter it even though it appears they’ve closed off entry. Who knows. Plus EntertainmentBuddha was kind enough to plug the film on their Facebook & Twitter.

Will be screening the fan film tonight. Sadly, I’m stuck at work. blah

continues.  I’ve sent a ton of email out today, and the days prior.  I’d say I’ve gotten about 1 response to every 5 or so emails sent, so thats not bad.  After the film’s next showing this Saturday at The Tri-Cities International Fantastic Film Festival in Richland WA, I may start sending out DVDs to comic book shops.  But I will for sure try to get 3 more reviews on youtube in the works.  There’s some peeps on there that do reviews on comics and may be sympathetic to my fandom and my request that they give my film a review.

is now up for the film.  Don’t know if it needed one, but the more sites that have info the merrier right?

AND IT’S GOOD!!!  Woot.  Besides reviewing my film, this cat reviews comic books and he’s really fun to watch, I’d recommend him for you comic book lovers out there.

is now online.  Thank god, an annotation was made on my lower quality video linking people to this one.  It’s not true HD.  It’s my old mpeg2 converted into mp4 format so there is less compression by youtube, making for a better viewing experience at 1080P.  Now I can breath a sigh of relief.

kind of…  with this converter, it will fool youtube into thinking it is HD, as it makes it an HD mp4 out of my old standard mpeg2, which means no shitty compression on my video that makes it crummy and pixelated.  So, I tried the trial copy, liked it, seemed to be exactly what I needed, paid like $50 for the full copy just now, it seems to work perfectly.  I’m going to run a test or two, then I’ll have my quasi HD version ready to go.  WOOT and Thank Crom!!!

No award from Renovation, oh well, a Star Wars fan film picked it up in the “fan” genre. Not sure which. This October, the Tri-cities International Fantastic Film Festival will be the last showing… maybe. There was one I’ll be asking about if it’ll be on next year the “Starfest Fan Film Festival” out of Denver.   I’ve got the facebook of the guy that runs it. I’ll send him a message when the full film is online at the end of this month. Fingers crossed.
